Do you have choice of colour?
Our fleet colour is dark cobalt blue, technically listed as RAL5013 and our containers in our depot stock are all painted in this dark blue. We are pleased to source containers in different colours.
How do you deliver a container to me?
We use a network of hauliers around the Country who have vehicles fitted with a HIAB to lift and position the container, the ground should be suitable for a heavy vehicle to drive on to.
Prior to delivery, we will ask if there are any restrictions on site that may hinder the delivery of the container, such as obstructions to access of the HIAB, overhead cables etc... In some instances it would be helpful to send photos prior to delivery for the haulage company to assess or alternatively, we can arrange for the haulier to do a site visit (subject to cost).
Are there any restrictions for delivery?
Are they waterproof?
Our containers are manufactured to top industry specifications for a long and testing life in service, shipping cargo around the world. They are made to resist water ingress with durable seals on the double doors. Fitted vents on the top of each side panel ensure that no condensation occurs.
What do you mean by 'new' container?
Our container are used for the one-way voyage from our Chinese factory with cargo which is destined for the UK. The cargo is delivered and the containers are then delivered into one of our depots across the Country.
What are the dimensions and weight of a container?
Specification of each container can be viewed in imperial and metric on each container page under the heading Containers.
ISO marine shipping containers are constructed from a steel profile frame with walls of beaded sheet steel and a wooden floor on steel cross members. They are equipped with exterior double doors at one end which open completely (270°).
What are ISO specifications?
How secure is a container?
All container types have a facility to padlock the doors but for added security we suggest a lock box is fitted over the door locking mechanism.
Does the ground have to be level?
Yes it does or you will experience problems with opening and closing the doors. If the ground is uneven previous customers have used railway sleepers or lay four concrete blocks for the container to sit on.
Do I need planning permission to set up a container site?
Containers should class as temporary structures as they do not have foundations and because of this they should not be subject to planning laws. However if they are to be placed in a sensitive area or are to be in location long-term then planning permission may be required. We do always recommend double checking with your local council if there is any doubt.
What are your terms and conditions?
We have Terms and Conditions for rental and lease purchase and general standard terms. Please click on this link to see them.
What purchasing options do you offer?
We offer three ways to own our containers - rent, lease, and purchase.
